J&K governor Satyapal Malik announces market intervention scheme for apple cultivators

On Thursday, J&K Governor Satyapal Malik took the primary step for reclamation of commonality and to initiate ended economy in Kashmir after the revocation of Article 370 with the dispatch of an exceptional plan for apple acquisition from the producers.

The plans, initiated as Market Intervention Scheme for Apples of J&K, means to give ideal costs to the apple producers. It has been affirmed by the Department of Agriculture and Cooperation, Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India, under the aegis of Ministry of Home Affairs, for the ebb and flow apple collecting season.

In J&K, the plan will be executed by the Directorate of Planning and Marketing, upheld by the Directorate of Horticulture (Kashmir) and Jammu and Kashmir Horticultural Produce, Marketing and Processing Corporation Ltd. Discussing the plan, Governor Satyapal Malik said that the apple part needs extraordinary concentration as it has yearly turnover Rs 8000 crore and is an immediate or roundabout wellspring of pay at any rate 7 lakh families in Jammu and Kashmir.

The governor stated, “With the scheme, the government wants to lay focused attention on providing every possible support to the apple growers right from their orchards to the market.” A few apple cultivators, who are most influenced by the present circumstance in the valley, have respected the progression.

Nazir Ahmad, an apple producer from Baramulla, stated to India Today TV, Marketing of apple crop in the present situation is generally testing. This plan will help us as apple generation is the main wellspring of pay for us.
