Indian PM Modi urges farmers to end protest

Replying to the Motion of Thanks on the President’s address in Rajya Sabha, Indian PM Narendra Modi appealed to protesters to end their agitation against the new farm laws.

The leader also questioned the opposition parties for their sudden ‘U-turn’ on the agri-reforms in his 75-minute-long speech. Modi also encapsulated his government’s achievements and vision for the country.

He also quoted former Indian PM Manmohan Singh on the need for reforms in the agri-sector and said Congress should take pride that Modi had to do what the former PM wanted.
