As COVID-19 causes serious disruptions to food supply chain, the government of Canada would invest $4.6 million to help farmers and agriculture businesses in the three territories (Nunavut, NWT and Yukon).

According to the press release, the money will come through the Canadian Northern Economic Development Agency (CanNor).

The government says it is committed to help Canadian farmers “not just survive, but thrive.” This investment will help businesses mitigate and address the COVID-19-induced challenges.
