American Jobs Plan | US President unveils $2 trillion infrastructure and climate proposal

US President Joe Biden unveiled a sprawling and ambitious infrastructure and green energy proposal worth nearly $2 trillion in order to modernize the country’s crumbling transport network, create jobs and boost investment in clean energy.

“It’s not a plan that tinkers around the edges. It’s a once-in-a-generation investment in America, unlike anything we’ve seen or done since we built the Interstate Highway System and the Space Race decades ago,” Biden said.

Mr. Biden compared his “transformational” and “once-in-a-generation” investment plan to the ambitious U.S. space program of the 1960s, saying it would improve the livelihoods of poor as well as middle-class Americans, take aim at global warming, and be financed by increased taxes on large companies and the rich section.
