In an unprecedented move, FMC Corporation has announced to launch a new precision agriculture platform – Arc farm intelligence.
It would enable the growers and advisors to predict the pest pressure accurately before it becomes a problem.
Arc farm intelligence, which is engineered with open APIs, is reportedly the first mobile platform to use predictive modelling based on real-time data.
According to FMC officials, the Arc platform ensures that the right crop protection products are applied precisely in order to improve sustainability, optimize crop yield and enhance growers’ ROI (Return on Investment).
“Farmers rely on data and information every day to make critical decisions about protecting their crops from destructive insects, disease and weeds,” said Mark Douglas, president and CEO-elect of FMC, in an FMC news release.
“Arc farm intelligence raises the game in predictive modelling and analytics, enabling our team to provide advisors and growers with crop protection advice and insights faster, easier and in a smarter way. Delivering better information to growers increases sustainability, adds value, strengthens relationships and promotes more business opportunities,” Douglas added.
The platform offers several benefits like:
• Customized Alerts
• Ability to communicate with agronomists
• Reliable data & High-quality Graphics
• Graphs and Heat Maps
It is worth mentioning here that farm intelligence can also be plugged into growers’ existing digital ecosystems easily.
