EvokeAg, one of the premier agrifood tech events in the Asia-Pacific region has been postponed by its organizers in wake of the unprecedented crisis triggered by the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to sources, this event now will be held at Claremont Showgrounds, Perth, Western Australia in February 2022.

AgriFutures Australia MD John Harvey said it was more important than ever to deliver on the objectives of EvokeAg, and provide optimism and enthusiasm to power growth and prosperity within the agri-food innovation system in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

“It is our priority to maintain the momentum across the agrifood tech sector. We are exploring how we can continue to engage with the existing EvokeAg community by providing stakeholders with access to content and opportunities to engage on topics that align with the evokeAg themes of Food, Farm, Future and collaborative thinking to change the future,” Mr Harvey said.

“Keeping connected globally during a time of “no global travel” is a priority. We have built a strong foundation from our international delegations and through trade agencies, like Austrade. Through online engagement, we intend to keep these connections growing,” he added.

This year’s event held in February attracted more than 1200 delegates, representing producers, tech developers, start-ups, scientists & bureaucrats.

Pitched at investors, farmers, start-ups, and people working in agribusiness, the conference explores the challenges ahead in agriculture, and generate conversations around the significant transformation underway in the agriculture sector.

The agrifood tech event has so far built an expanding community of global leaders in agrifood tech and innovation industry who collaborate with each other and build global pathways.
