UKRI invests £24 million in agri-tech businesses to transform UK agriculture
UK Research & Innovation (UKRI), will invests £24 million on projects that include data-driven precision agricultural solutions, innovative animal feeds, and robotics.The funding forms part of UKRI’s £90 million Transforming Food Production programme as part the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.
UKRI is investing in nine major new innovative agri-tech projects to bring the latest technology to UK agriculture. These cutting-edge projects will help UK farmers and growers to reduce carbon emissions, improve productivity and profitability, and showcase UK food production as leading the way in science and sustainability.
