Helsinki-based iFarm raises $4 million for its automated vertical farming system

iFarm, a Helsinki-based startup providing software solutions as well as hardware advisory services for indoor farms, has raised $4 million in funding round led by Gagarin Capital Partners and joined by Impulse VC, IMI.VC, Matrix Capital along with several undisclosed business angels.

The company will use the funding to bring iFarm Growtune to another stage, facilitating operations of vertical farms and quadrupling the number of plants available.

Moreover, iFarm will be optimizing its automated production lines in order to lower labour costs and complete experiments with a host of crops.
