After reaching a post-Brexit trade agreement after months of fraught negotiations with the European Union, the United Kingdom published the agreement’s text just a few days before it exits one of the biggest trading blocs.
The deal includes a 1,246-page trade agreement, as well as agreements on nuclear energy and a series of joint declarations, explicitly recognizing that trade and investment need conditions for “a level playing field for open and fair competition.”
With regard to financial services, the two sides have committed “to establish a favourable climate for the development of trade and investment between them”.
