The online census of agricultural holdings in Bulgaria has started on September 1 and it would continue until September 18, in which farmers have to provide data through a web-based app and fill in an online questionnaire as well.
According to the country’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry, farmers who refuse to participate in the online census will be visited by inquirers until December 18.
The census aims to make a detailed picture of the count, the type and the size of the agricultural holdings, different varieties of crops planted and livestock reared, as well as of the number of the jobs generated in this sector.
