The Ohio Department of Agriculture has warned the livestock owners about an exotic tick, known as the Asian long-horned tick, after it was found in Gallia County, located in southern Ohio.
It is worth noting that the Asian long-horned tick is an exotic East Asian tick. Experts said the tick is difficult to spot owing to its size and quick movement. Known to carry pathogens, the long-horned tick can cause distress to the host from their feeding in large numbers.
