Locust Outbreak | India sends second consignment of pesticide to Iran

India has delivered second consignment of Malathion, a 95% ultra-low volume pesticide, to Iran via the Chabahar port to support Tehran’s desert locust-fighting efforts.

Notably, India supplied the first consignment of 20,000 litres of Malathion to the Islamic Republic of Iran in June 2020.

Last year, India approached Pakistan and Iran for a coordinated regional response to the desert locusts’ threat.
