KENORA, ON, July 4, 2023 /CNW/ – Please be advised that the Honourable Patty Hajdu, Minister of Indigenous Services and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Northern Ontario, will visit Northwestern Ontario. 

During her visit, Minister Hajdu will have the opportunity to meet with the Chiefs and members of a number of First Nations communities, will partake in community celebrations and will make several announcements.

Details of the visit are as follows:

Tuesday, July 4:

Meeting with Shoal Lake #40 First Nation

Northwest Angle No. 33 First Nation – Celebration and announcement regarding the community’s water treatment plant 

Chief Darlene Comegan of the Northwest Angle No. 33 First Nation will also join Minister Hajdu for the announcement and celebration.

Time: 2:00 p.m. (CT)

Angle Inlet – water access only

FedNor to announce support for Northwestern Ontario communities

Minister Hajdu will announce FedNor funding in support of municipal initiatives across Northwestern Ontario. Marcus Powlowski, Member of Parliament for Thunder Bay—Rainy River, and municipal representatives for Fort Frances will also join the announcement.
