Turkey: Agricultural exports witness uptick despite COVID-19 pandemic
Despite the disruption in food supply chains triggered by the COVID-19 pandemic, Turkey’s agricultural exports rose by 3.9% in the first seven months of 2020 compared to the same period last year.
As per Anadolu Agency’s report that cited data from the Turkey Exporters Assembly, the transcontinental country’s total agricultural exports amounted to $13.23 billion in the January-July period.
However, industrial exports witnessed over 16% decline and stood at $67.31 billion, while mining exports declined by 11.3% and stood at $2.2 billion.
