September to be observed as ‘Nutrition Month’ in India, says PM Narendra Modi

The month of September will be observed as “Nutrition Month” (Poshan Maah) in the entire nation, said Indian PM Narendra Modi, adding our mental and intellectual development is directly related to the quality of our food intake.

“In this movement pertaining to nutrition, people’s participation is also very crucial. It is public participation that makes it successful,” PM Modi said in his monthly radio broadcast “Mann Ki Baat”.
Meanwhile, in order to commemorate the ‘Poshan Maah’, a meeting was also held by Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution (DoFPD) with other senior officials.
