Customized agricultural advice for millions of farmers on their mobile phones soon – Details Inside

Millions of small-scale farmers in Nigeria, Kenya and Pakistan will soon receive customized, low-cost agricultural advice on their mobile phones as a means to boost their incomes, improve on-farm practices, and resilience to economic shocks triggered by COVID-19, the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) said.

The innovative initiative is a result of a new partnership between IFAD and Precision Agriculture for Development.

Using mobile phone technology, farmers will receive low-cost, customized advice to improve input utilization, pest and disease management, environmental sustainability and access to markets.
