With a focus on the horticulture and livestock and veterinary sectors, a hackathon will be organized on September 23 and 24, 2020 that would witness some of the UK’s top tech talent come up with digital solutions for industry problems.

The event is supported by the European Horizon 2020 project Smart AgriHubs.

Participating teams will be asked to explore solutions in these two areas:

• Labour shortage for field operations in horticulture

• Restrictions on how vets can travel to conduct farm diagnoses

The winning project will become the focus of the year-long ‘product launch programme’ delivered by Agri-EPI, organizers said.
