To boost green recovery from COVID-19 outbreak, ADB joins hands with Green Climate Fund

To foster a ‘green recovery’ for members facing the economic fallout due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) partnered with the Green Climate Fund (GCF).
“ADB is committed to helping our members build a ‘green recovery’ and we stand ready to broaden our collaboration with development partners like GCF,” said ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa.
It is pertinent to note that the lender committed over USD 6.5 billion in climate financing last year. The concessional financing from partners, according to experts, will also be crucial for helping ADB’s members meet their climate goals.
