National Cooperative Development Corporation (NCDC) has sanctioned ₹19,444 crore, as first instalment, to three Indian states for kharif paddy procurement under minimum support price (MSP) operations.

The apex financing organisation of the Indian Agriculture Ministry sanctioned the funds to Chhattisgarh (₹9,000 crore), Haryana (₹5,500 crore) and Telangana (₹5,444 crore).

“In response to the clarion call given by PM Narendra Modi, NCDC is ready to assist more states in carrying out MSP operations for giving fair value to farmers in the light of historic farm-related legislations,” said Sundeep Nayak, Managing Director, NCDC.
