China, Belarus sign cooperation agreement in agriculture under Belt and Road initiative

Under the framework of the Belt and Road initiative, Belarus and China have signed a cooperation agreement in the agriculture sector.

Economic as well as trade relations between the two nations reached a new height last year in terms of trade in goods and services. Cooperation in the farming sector is also on the rise.

“The export of Belarusian dairy products to China keeps demonstrating an upward trend. Belarusian dairy products turned out to be popular among Chinese consumers. This year more than 85,000 tonnes of dairy products worth $32.5 million were shipped to China,” Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister of Belarus Igor Brylo said.
