Canada launches first agricultural youth council to engage them in decision-making

Canada’s Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food Marie-Claude Bibeau has launched the first-ever Canadian Agricultural Youth Council.

The Council would identify new and emerging issues, share information and best practices, and provide advice on the strengths and weaknesses of policies and programs affecting the farming sector.

The Council will meet twice a year, and additional meetings will be held online.
